Athletic History:
I began trying many different sports, settling into hockey
throughout high school and college. My last year of college
a close friend turned me onto triathlon. After seeing the
Ironman Coeur d'Alene 2004, I signed up for 2005, bought a
bike and learned to swim. I enjoyed my 3 triathlons in 2005
so much that I begged Emde Sports to help me get faster.
Sure enough, after a lot of painful rides with "Alpine Ibex"
Emde and "Pretty Boy Robb" Treadwell, I had a good enough
race at Ironman Coeur d'Alene 2006 (10:41:06) to qualify me
for the Hawaii Ironman 2006 (10:48:59), also having a top-10
finish at the Grand Columbian Half-Iron to qualify me for
Team USA and the 2007 ITU-Long Course World Championships in
France.
9 months of training with the Emde's dropped my 112-mile
bike time by nearly an hour! Joining Emde Sports was the
best thing I did to improve my abilities and love for the
sport.
